Like many other manual therapies, pinopressure can cause some discomfort but is not painful. The technique involves gently pressing and massaging specific points on the body to stimulate the body's natural regeneration processes. Depending on the individual's sensitivity and degree of muscle tension, some people may feel some pressure, tingling or slight pain during a pinopressure session.
Pinopressure is an innovative Polish method that is a contemporary variation of acupuncture. An important difference, is that pinopressure treatment is completely non-invasive - the skin is not pierced during the procedure.
In our practice, we use pinopressure as a therapy for sports injuries, among other things. Stimulating a point within an injury can help to improve circulation, reduce pain and accelerate tissue healing. Have you suffered an injury during physical activity? Don't wait, book an appointment and benefit from the proven pinopressure method.
Pinopressure can be used for acute joint and spinal pain conditions. Our specialists perform needle therapy by stimulating the appropriate acupuncture points that correspond to the patient's specific symptoms and conditions. It can also be an adjunct to other therapies. It is often combined with manual techniques such as classical massage, therapeutic massage, fascial massage and, in the case of deeper muscle strains, it is a complement to physical therapy.
The unquestionable advantage of pinopressure is its non-invasiveness and the broad spectrum of therapeutic management. The method deals with chronic and acute pain, is ideal for sports and is used in the treatment of neurological patients. Pinopressure relieves muscle tension, stimulates blood circulation and thus nourishes the tissues, has a deacidifying and detoxifying effect on the body, and influences psychological and nervous relaxation. In our office you can use the pinopressure method and get rid of bothersome pain.
The skin may be tender for several days. However, the duration of symptoms of increased tenderness may vary depending on individual factors such as the intensity of the treatment, individual skin tolerance and the techniques used by the specialist. Usually, the first symptoms appear immediately after the treatment or within the first few hours. The skin may be red, sensitive to touch and slightly swollen, but this is a normal reaction of the body and should not cause concern. It is important to take care of the skin after the treatment, using mild and moisturising products and avoiding overexposure to irritants such as the sun.
Contraindications to the procedure include cancer, pregnancy, skin lesions, epilepsy or vascular diathesis.
Before the treatment, it is important to cleanse your skin thoroughly. This can be done with a mild cleanser suitable for your skin type. Make sure your skin is free of impurities. Before treatment, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure to the skin. High UV exposure can irritate the skin, making it more sensitive.
