Pinopressure - an antidote to acute pain

Do you experience migraines that take up precious hours of your life? Or do you suffer from chronic back pain? Have you often had to cancel appointments because of acute pain? We have a great solution for you to say goodbye to intractable pain. Pinopressure, also known as pinotherapy, is a therapeutic technique created and popularised by Dr Radosław Składowski, an orthopaedic surgeon. The main idea behind this method is the manipulation of the human body using tools made of brass, such as pins (nails) and katas (knives). Pinopresura combines elements of traditional and modern medicine, using knowledge from both the field of connective tissue research and disciplines such as ayurveda or acupuncture. The main aim of pinotherapy is to restore balance to the body's functioning and regulate the nervous system. Get rid of pain and enjoy life to the full!

Division of therapies

The classification of patients in the context of pinotherapy differs significantly from common diagnostic methods. The division developed by R. Składowski is based on the traditional concepts of Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, using the influence of the elements on the human body. The basic scheme includes the five elements: earth, fire, water, air and ether. This is crucial, as the dominance of any of these elements provides vital information about the patient's characteristics, their potential ailments and indicates therapeutic direction.

Patients representing the fire sign tend to have a strong temperament, a low pain threshold and a need for intense experiences. Earth-associated individuals are characterised by solidity, a strong physique and a conviction to reality. Water-associated individuals show a high empathy, pursuit of pleasure and a mild reaction to pain, while those who are air-associated are characterised by a slender physique and high body awareness. Ether attracts with its mesmerising gaze and ability to focus attention.

Acute pain, or what kind of pain? Pain classification

Acute pain is a sudden, penetrating discomfort that occurs unexpectedly. It is a type of pain that has a primary warning function, signalling to us possible threats to the body.

Examples of classic acute pain include injuries (such as fractures, sprains or dislocations), pain from overloading, toothaches, headaches, menstrual pain, low back pain (known as lumbago) and joint pain.

Acute pain can vary in intensity and duration. It can be mild, subsiding after a few minutes, but it can also be severe and persist for up to several weeks. It is important to understand that its appearance requires attention and an appropriate response, as it may indicate the existence of health problems that require treatment or medical intervention.

Division of pain according to pinotherapy

In addition to piezoelectric pain, other types of ailments are recognised in pinotherapy. Such as compartmental pains of ligaments, muscles and nerves, vegetative, chain and dipole pains.

  1. Compartmental pains can be localised or diffuse, affecting distant tissue areas. Myofascial and ligamentous pains often result from musculoskeletal overload and stasis, and are gradually relieved by the action of the muscle pump. Neurocompartmental can cause a sensation of numbness and tingling along the route of the affected nerve.
  2. Vegetative usually involves long-range areas, such as an entire limb, and can be difficult to relieve with painkillers, often making sleep difficult.
  3. Chains are often caused by holding one static position for long periods of time or performing repetitive movements, requiring repositioning or resting.
  4. Dipoles involve multiple piezoelectric phenomena in the body, which can lead to severe discomfort, forcing a change in the entire posture or even immobilising certain parts of the body.

Acute pain and the benefits of pinopressure

Pinopressure can be used for acute joint and spinal pain conditions. Our specialists perform needle therapy, stimulating the relevant acupuncture points that correspond to the patient's specific symptoms and conditions. It can also complement other therapies. It is often combined with manual techniques such as classical, therapeutic and fascial massage. In turn, in the case of deeper muscle strains, it complements physical therapy.

An undeniable advantage of pinopressure is its non-invasiveness and broad spectrum therapeutic treatment. The method deals with chronic and acute pain, is excellent for sports and is used in the treatment of neurological patients. Pinopressure has the effect of relieving muscle tension. It stimulates blood circulation and thus nourishes tissues, has a deacidifying and detoxifying effect on the body, and influences psychological and nervous relaxation. In our office, you can use the pinopressure method and get rid of bothersome pain.

Before the treatment...

Before the treatment, it is important to cleanse your skin thoroughly. This can be done with a mild cleanser suitable for your skin type. Make sure your skin is free of impurities. Before treatment, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure to the skin. High UV exposure can irritate the skin, making it more sensitive. If you have any questions about preparing your skin for pinopressure, please consult our specialists. We look forward to hearing from you.
