The foot examination takes place on a special sub-arometry platform, on which we can perform a static (with eyes open as well as closed) and dynamic examination. During the static test, we can determine which side we load more. The result of this test is expressed in kg and %.
In addition, the therapist can examine which area is most heavily loaded, whether the centre of gravity is located on the so-called forefoot or on the rearfoot, and whether our foot has the correct support (e.g. no flat feet).
During a static test with eyes closed, an examination of several seconds is carried out. It makes it possible to determine how our body behaves when one sense, such as sight, is switched off. This test can reveal possible disorders.
During the dynamic examination, the patient walks several times on the mat (both right and left foot), thus evaluating the rolling vector of the foot. We check whether it is physiological and whether the patient tends to pronate or supinate the foot.
Such an examination is one of the diagnostic elements before customised orthotics for walking and/or running are made. It can be performed entirely by MTS Holistic Therepy.
