Chinese bubbles - what do you know about them?

The use of Chinese bubbles comes from a long-standing tradition of Chinese medicine. The same is true of massage, which is gaining increasing popularity, particularly for its effectiveness in combating cellulite. How do Chinese bubbles work? Before delving into this subject, it is worth finding out in what circumstances these methods can be helpful and for whom they may be beneficial.

What are Chinese bubbles used for?

Depending on their composition and material, Chinese bubbles perform a variety of functions, adapted to specific purposes. Glass bubbles are mainly used in the technique of placing bubbles, providing support in the treatment of a wide variety of conditions. Rubber or silicone bubbles, on the other hand, have both therapeutic and relaxation applications, often used in massage. Their versatility makes them an effective tool in combating problems such as cellulite, as they help to improve circulation and skin elasticity. In addition, they are useful for fat reduction and body contouring, helping to improve the overall appearance of the body. In this way, Chinese bubbles become not only a part of traditional medicine, but also an effective tool to support various aspects of health and beauty.

How do Chinese bubbles work?

The action of Chinese bubbles is based on simple principles. When they are used, a vacuum is created which attracts the skin to the inside of the bubble. Once placed on the body, they are left in place for a period of time. This results in the rupture of blood vessels subcutaneously, which leads to blood flow. Visible bruising on the skin is the result of this process. The body takes this as a signal to produce antibodies, recognising the blood as a foreign protein. Once the immune system understands that it is its own blood, it directs the antibodies produced against possible infection or inflammation.

What does the treatment look like?

Before starting the massage, the masseur applies a layer of oil to the skin, which facilitates the smooth movement of the bubbles. The standard set of bubbles includes four of different sizes, the choice of which depends on the area of the body to be treated therapies. The procedure involves applying a bubble to the skin and creating a vacuum by pushing out air. This draws the epidermis and subcutaneous tissues into the bubble. The masseur then moves the bubble across the skin, combining long strokes with circular movements towards the lymph nodes. Each sequence usually lasts less than three minutes, until bruising appears on the skin. The vacuum process stimulates blood circulation, aids the elimination of toxins from the body and contributes to muscle relaxation and improved skin elasticity.
